After speaking with many of the team members, the APBL has decided to skip event one that was previously scheduled for May 22nd and 23rd . This will allow all teams to get more practice time, and will also equate in a cost savings to each team member as we combine all matches in 3 events. The dates and location for the remaining events will remain the same. We feel this is a positive move as all matches can be played in 3 events, why not let the players reap the immediate savings in travel, lodging, etc. Please contact APBL staff with any inquiries or suggestions.
Players can now register online! Players can enter their contact information, upload profile photos and also keep their profile up to date themselves. So please register before the first event, it only takes a few minutes.
In our endeavor to continually enhance your playing experience, we have introduced changes to our 3 man division that will be a huge cost savings to each player. We will be announcing the prize payout once all the teams are done registering.
The APBL has chosen to drop the rate of fire for the 2010 in both the 3 man and 5 man divisions. The rate of fire will drop from 15 bps, to 13.3 bps. Our goal is to make each match exciting and interesting. Changing the rate of fire will allow players to make their bunkers and in turn it becomes a more friendly spectator game. We also anticipate and hope this becomes a cost savings to each player.
You can download the updated PDF files for the 2010 season on the “RULES & FAQ” page. Also check back in a few days to register as a player online.
For 2010 the APBL will introduce an entry level division. This will be a 3 man psp style format. As player’s constantly improve and perfect the sport it becomes more difficult for beginner players to enter. This new division will allow players to compete at their own level with out fear of intimidation due to having to compete against players of a much higher calibre. Please contact APBL staff for further details.
The APBL is pleased to announce the largest prize payout in Atlantic Canada. The winning 5 man team will be given a chance to participate in the 2010 PSP World Cup. This will include entry fee, accommodations, vehicle rental and paint at the events. The chance to compete at this level is astounding, and against teams from all around the world.
